SUMMER CAMP ADVENTURES
Summer is just around the corner! That means longer days and more time for fun under the sun. With the kids out of school, parents and guardians want to make sure they don’t spend the summer staring at their iPad, vegging out, slowly becoming one with the couch. As luck would have it, we have a couple of suggestions to keep everyone engaged and out and about this summer. We even have a summer camp for adults only! How amazing is that!?!
Boys and Girls Club of The West Valley
Currently celebrating their 30th Anniversary, the mission of the Boys and Girls Club of the West Valley is “to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible adults.” Located at 7245 Remmet Ave. in Canoga Park, they run multiple youth and teen programs to benefit the community, providing safe, fun and welcoming spaces for the youth ages 6 to 18.
Their 2022 Summer Camp will run from 8am to 6pm on June 14 through July 22. Membership renewal is required for registration. Lunch and snack will be provided daily. This year’s camp will include activities such as coding, fine arts, arts & crafts, book 2 movie club, martial arts and much more. The camp offers children the opportunity to express their creativity, participate in sports, learn new skill, make friends and most importantly, HAVE FUN!
